Ödon von Hortváth Juventud sin Dios

Youth without God is an interesting book. It was written in 1937 by Ödon von Horváth. The most important character in the book is a teacher who teaches in a secondary school. The teacher has a very serious problem when he makes a friendly opinion about black people. In those years the Nazism ideology and its power is a reality in Germany. The youth mentality of his students can’t accept that good opinion about  black people.
After that, the scholar group must  go to the mountain in order to do military exercises. In this activity, we can also see Nazi's mentality. There appear some dramatic events.
Ödon von Horvath (1901-1938) in his works describes a selfish and corrupt social class, this people are the ones who will support Hitler. OvH always defended minorities and marginal people (we can see this in the opinion of the teacher about the girl, Eva, in Youth without God) In 1933 OvH had to leave Germany because the Gestapo considered him an enemy. His books were   burned. He died at the age of 37.
